Circuit
of the Americas was officially announced as the MotoGP race at the 2013
season, the MotoGP series in Texas who plotted a third series next
season.
Racing at Circuit of the Americas in MotoGP Texas will be held on April 19 to 21. On the calendar while the FIM announced last month, the slot for that date was vacated along with the earlier slot on April 14.
Thus,
for a while MotoGP Texas at Circuit of the Americas will be a third
series, after the series opener in Losail, and the second series that
has not been located.
The
entry of Circuit of The Americas made the United States now has three
MotoGP races next season, after the previous race was also held in
Indianapolis and Laguna Seca.
"We
are excited to be working with Circuit of the Americas to expand our
program in the U.S. and bring the series to a new racing facility
outstanding in Texas," said MotoGP CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta on MotoGP's
official website.
"We see tremendous opportunities to market and grow the MotoGP fan base through this agreement, andknow the Circuit of The Americas is an appropriate means to achieve that goal, "he continued.
