Jerez - Ferrari through the first two days of Formula 1 pre-season test at Jerez with fairly smooth . Italian manufacturer was pleased to see there was no significant disruption and Kimi Raikkonen recorded a positive trend .
Raikkonen went on to become the fastest in the first test day , Tuesday ( 28/01/2014 ) with a time of 1 minute 27 104 . On the second day , Wednesday ( 29/1 ) , the Finnish rider managed to sharpen his record to 1 minute 24 812 seconds .
Although the record time of just placing it in second place behind McLaren driver Jenson Button ( 1 minute 24.165 seconds ) , but Ferrari assess the results in two days is quite satisfactory .
Technical Director James Allison stated that the positive trend shown Raikkonen and F14 T shows ' Prancing Horse ' has a nice base to wade through the season . Especially on the second day there was no significant disruption until they are able to gobble up 78 laps , while on the first day yesterday just did 31 rounds and had suffered a minor annoyance .
" I am quite happy with what we've seen so far . I think there is no any bad things that have been revealed , " Allison said as quoted by Autosport .
"The list of shortcomings is not short , it will never be short with a new car . , But we were able to continue out of the garage and do a lot of rounds , " he added .
" The essence of the first two days are for speeding , making the car programmed to the trillions of numbers you need to make the car do its job . And also to make sure that things are really fundamental of the car are correct.
