Beijing - Two seed, Victoria Azarenka and Maria Sharapova breezed into the quarter-finals round of the China Open. Meanwhile, Caroline Wozniacki had to pack up after losing in the third round.Azarenka won relatively easily when confronted with Elena Vesnina at the National Tennis Center, Beijing, Thursday (04/10/2012). World number one tennis player won in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 in 92 minutes.
In the next round, Azarenka will face Switzerland, Romina Oprandi. Oprandi first pass after beating Ana Ivanovic yesterday.
Sharapova look mighty in the match against Polona Hercog. Russian second seed was only given two games to Hercog and won 6-0, 6-2.
In later matches, Wozniacki defeated after fighting a three-set match against Angelique Kerber. The Dane who finished tenth seed surrendered 1-6, 6-2, and 4-6.
Kerber Sharapova will be the opponent in the quarterfinals.
