Bukittinggi - Bukittiggi held MILO International Tourism 10K as a memorial to the 29th anniversary of the City Tour. Came out as the winner of the race was Jauhari Johan and Veri Sukmaveu.At the last race on Sunday (05/12/2013), as many as 10,000 participants including national and international elite athletes from Kenya, the Philippines and Africa participate and compete for a total prize of Rp 187.5 million.
The race starts and finishes at Wirabraja Field (Field cafeteria), Bukittinggi, at 07:00 pm. With a distance of 10 kilometers, starting from the Wirabaraja Field (Field Canteen), take side route to the Hotel Istana Triarga The Hills, spinning towards Simpang Walls Down Market, proceed to the Panorama, and finish in the Field Canteen back.
There are four categories of participants in this contest, the international elite athletes, elite athletes nationwide, public, and students.
Jauhari Johan, runners from South Sumatra, won the national men's category with a time of 31 minutes and 23 seconds. For its success it was, Jauhari has the right to earn a prize of Rp 15 million. While the national category daughter, appeared Veri Sukmaevu (East Kalimantan) as the winner with a time of 37 minutes and 41 seconds. Veri also get a prize of equal value as Johan.
For international men's elite category, go on to win 1 Collin Kimosop of Kenya, with a time of 30 minutes 58 seconds and entitled to the first prize of Rp 20 million. While in the national category daughter, came out as the champion Aan Nyihia of Kenya with a time of 35 minutes 47 seconds.
"I am very pleased to be the first champion MILO Bukittinggi Tourism International 10K 2013 and proud of this achievement," Jauhari said after the race.
