Ferrari Divert Focus to 2012

White flag was hoisted Ferrari F1 World Championship competition in 2011. 'Prancing Horse' are now going to focus entirely on developing the car for next season.
Only six races left in the F1 series this season. Given the dominance of the defense of Sebastian Vettel Red Bull, Ferrari had to be realistic.

"We've stopped the development of (auto). We have had a very very very very difficult," said Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali told BBC Sport.

"We could expect a big jump in development at the Spa. Unfortunately we are even seeing the opposite so we even suffered a setback in Monza," he continued.

In the last race weekend in Monza that he meant, Vettel win at home to Ferrari, who became the eighth victory for him.

Vettel is now top the standings with 284 points, 112 points ahead of Alonso, who finished two. In the constructor sector, Red Bull in the top position (451), followed by McLaren (325) and Ferrari (254).
