Barca president: Pepe should Punished

Barcelona - Barcelona president, Sandro Rosell, comment on the decision of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) which does not punish Real Madrid defender, Pepe. According to Rosell, RFEF should imitate the English Football Association (FA) is to be assertive.

As reported previously, RFEF not impose any penalty to Pepe stepped up actions fingers had done to Lionel Messi in the first leg of quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey. Thus, the Portuguese players can be played in the second leg will be held at the headquarters of Barca, on Thursday (1/26/2012) pm dawn.

Rosell RFEF decision then compare it with the latest decision of the FA in a similar case. As is known, the FA charged the Manchester City striker, Mario Balotelli, on charges of stepping on the face of Scott Parker. Although the referee escaped, Balotelli could not circumvent the television cameras.

"It would be nice if we follow the example of countries like England," said Rosell told Punto Pelota.

While analogous, Rosell Pepe action against the judge Messi deservedly rewarded with the appropriate penalties in the field even when the referee did not see it.

"When a person through the 'red light', they should be punished, even if pedestrians can walk should not reproach them," he added.
