Martino Denies Has Offered New Contract

Barcelona - Gerardo ' Tata ' Martino reportedly been offered a contract extension by Barcelona . But the issue was denied by Martino .

Martino has a contract until 2015 with the Los Cules . But Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu reportedly intends to add the contract of former coach of Newell's Old Boys was another year until 2016 .

" We would be happy if Tata remain with us until 2016 , " the statement was quoted as saying by Marca Bartomeu , Wednesday ( 01/29/2014 ) local time .

But the news was denied by Martino . After dropping Cesc Fabregas et al . stepped into the semifinals of the Copa del Rey via a 5-1 win over Levante at Camp Nou on Thursday ( 30/01/2014 ) pm dawn , Martino dismissed the news that that Bartomeu has menyodorinya new contract .

" No, the president has not talked to me about a contract renewal . Was not true , " said Martino was quoted as saying the U.S. .
