U.S. Open Nadal vs. Murray into Third Round

New York - Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray are both qualified for the third round of U.S. Open Grand Slam. The difference, Nadal was just playing two sets for his opponent backwards, while Murray had to fight five sets.

In the second round match on Saturday (09/03/2011) pm dawn,
Nadal faces Nicolas Mahut (France). In the two earlier sets, Nadal won 6-2 and 6-2.

Mahut resistance turns out to two sets only. He could not play in the third set because of muscle injury.

David Nalbandian (Argentina) will be Nadal's next opponent. Nalbandian escapes after beating Ivan Ljubicic (Croatia) with a score of 6-4, 1-6, 6-3, and 6-2.

Murray almost lost when the face Robin Haase (Netherlands). This gave the fourth seed in the opening two sets with a score of 6-7 and 2-6.

But Murray got up on the next three sets. He beat Haase with a score of 6-2, 6-0, 6-4.

In the third round, Murray will be challenged to the 25th seed Feliciano Lopez (Spain). Lopez escaped after beating Vasek Pospisil (Canada) 5-7, 6-4, 7-6, and 7-6.

Other players who also qualified for the third round, among others, Juan Martin del Potro, Julien Benneteau, Juan Ignacio Chela, Gilles Muller, Igor Kunitsyn, Gilles Simon, Donald Young, John Isner, and David Ferrer.
