Mancini 'Forget' Party Goals Top Spurs

Manchester - Last August, Manchester City's 5-1 drubbing of Tottenham Hotspur. It's been five months later, the City manager Roberto Mancini reluctant to "compute" the result was ahead of the second meeting.

Spurs at home last August 28, 2011, City of diving third party managed to embarrass the host, who in his first party also seized Manchester United, with the score a landslide.

However, five months had passed since the incident. Spurs are now much improved, even become one of the team that started reckoned as one of the pursuer's degree candidates, by inhabiting the top three standings under the City and Manchester United.

This weekend the City and Spurs will meet again, with The Citizens turn to host. Although the results at the first meeting was so extraordinary, Mancini did not want to underestimate the Spurs just because it results in one match only.

"Better to lose 1-5 than lose 0-1 one-time five times," he said at Reuters.

"We faced five months ago, it's totally different. When you start the season, anything can happen because of all the players are not ready to play 100%. Each team took four, five, six games to be confident," said Mancini.

Statistically, the Spurs are still well ahead of City in the league. Of the 29 games the last City can only win five times on the Lily Whites, although two of whom were born in the last two meetings.
